WILD GOOSE FARM

Afternoons at the Farm

At WGF we'll host afternoons of outdoor games, workshops and activities for all ages. With twenty acres of glades and woodland and a big barn, there is plenty of room for all kinds of adventure.  Wild Goose Farm is proud home to ‘the Unusuals'; games and activities you’ll love but have probably never encountered.  Food Vendors will be available, or you can bring a picnic. (Weather permitting)

Farm After Dark

Members have the opportunity to experience the farm after dark and play nighttime games, build a campfire, roast marshmallows, sing songs and take in the moon and stars.  Come early, bring hotdogs and a blanket.  (Weather permitting)

Permaculture Workshops

Permaculture integrates sustainable growing and ecological building while emphasizing the importance of meeting people’s needs for connection and community.  In our workshops, you will learn how to grow berries organically in your yard; develop deep, fertile, organic soil in your garden; divert and store rainwater; grow shitake mushrooms; and preserve your harvest naturally.

Art, Theater and Music Workshops

The natural beauty of the farm provides an ideal place to create.  Do you like photography, drawing, sculpting or painting?  Perhaps you play music or you love to dance.  Or maybe you are a closet thespian.  Art, theater and music will be an integral part of educational or farm after day events.  Additional workshops scheduled outside of these events will also be offered.

Barn Owl Nights

The barn provides an ideal venue for concerts, dances, performance and film nights.  Members can experience a film or music night in the barn.  Film nights will feature films we need to talk about and films that make us laugh or cry. Music nights include toe-tapping barn dances, skits, concerts and sing-a-longs.

Work Days

Members working and learn together, sharing skills and contributing to the expansion of activities at the farm.  Members can may choose to offer regular work hours in exchange for all or some portion of their dues with each hour of work counting as $10.

Open Trail Days

Come walk, run, cross country ski, or snowshoe the trails on various weekends and weekdays throughout the year.  Choose the length of your hike.  Circular paths bring you right back to where you started.  Short walks for kids.  A longer one for those who want more. Great for bird watching.  You may even see a deer along the way.

"Wild Goose Theater/Art Week was one of the best weeks of my life!  I can't wait to do this every single year until I turn eighty-eight million eight hundred eighty-eight thousand eight hundred eighty-eight years old!"
